SMA-Pasay 30 Years Na...Humihirit Pa! Part 3: Community Service

St. Mary's Academy Pasay Alumni Group sponsors a monthly feeding program to less fortunate school children aged 5-7 years old. To celebrate our 30th anniversary, Batch '84 decided to take part of this feeding program on February 8, 2014.

For some of us, this would be the first time in 30 years to go back to the SMA school grounds.

These were the fifty boys and girls we had fun time with. They were all behaved and attentive.

After lunch, we gathered together to pay tribute to our old teachers. Ms. Sanchez, our Practical Arts teacher, and Mrs. Salon, our Economics teacher, were there to celebrate our 30th anniversary with us.

Some of us tried to recall our seating arrangements.

Recalling some anecdotes about Ms. Sanchez and Mrs. Salon...

Finally, we offered a song to our beloved teachers, Especially For you.
Especially for you
I wanna let you know what I was going through
All the time we were apart I thought of you
You were in my heart, My love never changed
I still feel the same

Especially for you
I wanna tell you I was feeling that way too
And if dreams were wings, you know I would have flown to you
To be where you are no matter how far
And now that I'm next to you

No more dreaming about tomorrow
Forget the loneliness and the sorrow
I've got to say it's all because of you

And now were back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

Especially for you
I wanna tell you, you mean all the world to me
How I'm certain that our love was meant to be
You changed my life, You showed me the way
And now that I'm next to you

I've waited long enough to find you
I wanna put all the hurt behind you
And I wanna bring out all the love inside you, oh and
Now were back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

And that's when tears started falling.

Thank you, Ms. Sanchez and Mrs. Salon. The years you spent teaching us are forever etched in our minds and hearts!

Next in the agenda was a tour around our old alma mater.

The Auditorium. Going to the 5th Floor was a breeze, with an elevator. (Hehehe! Limited nga lang ang makakasakay! With the ..ahem..weight capacity and all...)

Outside the Auditorium, Anesa wanted to prolong the agony by asking us some trivia about the old Audi. Anu ba, papasukin mo na kami, Mama Nes!

Oh look, no more wooden foldable chairs!

May mumu pa kaya rito?

The Chapel where we attended our monthly sponsored class masses. Somehow, it looked and felt the same.

We couldn't stop reminiscing. We attempted to form a platoon and march. Tsk..total fail!

We realized that although there were a lot of things that changed in our old school, our hearts would always remain as true-blue Maryans.

Done with the SMA tour...off we go to the Batch Party venue. (Thanks Angie Avar for the free ride!)
