My Hubby’s cousin, Manny Montelibano, is presenting his fourth solo exhibition aptly titled ‘Sorry for the Inconvenience’ which runs from today, August 13 until September 9, 2011 at Warehouse 12A, La Fuerza Compound 2241 Don Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City.
Manny is a technical director at the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod, and has been one of the founders of Bacollywood: The Visayan Film Festival. He was under the apprenticeship of filmmaker Peque Gallaga in 2004. His other solo shows were Greater than or Equal to Infinity (Gallery NOVA, 2010), Escabeche: Filipino Sweet and Sour (Galleria Duemila, 2009) and PO Asa (Gallery Orange, 2008).
I asked Manny what made him do this art installation, and he said that, "my inspiration is my desperation on the way things are being done...like in the picture." I'm sure a lot of us can relate to that.
Do drop by ‘Sorry for the Inconvenience’, if you can.
