A Bumpy Ride

The Hubby had a bad flight experience the other night. He rode Philippine Airlines from Cebu to Manila, and they were supposed to arrive NAIA at around 7pm. The weather wasn’t good and the pilot explained that there was zero visibility, so they were diverted to Clark Airport. Since they still had to go back to Manila, the plane had to refuel. There were other planes on queue for refuelling, so by the time they finished doing so, it was already past 10pm. No dinner. No proper ventilation. They weren’t allowed to deplane. PAL didn’t offer any snacks at all!

But the torture didn’t end there. The trip back to Manila was, in my acrophobic Hubby’s words, like a roller coaster. When they finally arrived NAIA, PAL didn’t give anything to its passengers to compensate for the inconvenience. (How about a coupon meal?)

You see, the Hubby has fear of heights. He doesn’t like looking down from atop a building. He doesn’t ride roller coasters. Unfortunately, he must often travel by airplanes for his job (he does it almost every week), but he doesn’t look forward to riding them. This experience made this fear even worse.

Wawa naman the Hubby. He said that his knees were still trembling while walking out of the airport. Sige na nga. You’re exempted to go shopping for me this time;-)
