Christmas in our Hearts

Please don’t judge me when I say that up to now, I haven’t put up a Christmas tree yet.

It’s not that I’m turning into a Scrooge or something. On the contrary, I’m excited for Christmas to arrive this year more than ever. The whole Fam is going to be complete again, and that alone makes me look forward to celebrating Jesus’ birthday.

So what’s up with having no Christmas tree yet? I don’t know. But I don’t feel that seeing the green, plastic pine needles adorned with red balls and cute little wooden toys will complete my Christmas this year. I know that as soon as the five of us go to Mass, eat dinner, and just chill in one room together, this will really light up Christmas for me.

To each his/her own.

P.S.
On our way home from the Ballroom Dancing Party I attended last Saturday, Beth and I passed by this fully lighted house. We just couldn’t resist taking a picture of it. If the owner feels happy decorating his house in full glory every Christmas, then good for him.

My Ebenezer brain just kept on nagging me how much his electric bill would be.

  1. perhaps it's the homeowner's way of bringing cheer to other people...he doesn't seem to mind others taking pictures of it like you did...=)

have a merry Christmas with your loved ones!

  2. oh, i'm sure he didn't mind me sneaking a pic or two. if your house screams with lights and decos like those, it will be a crime not to stop and stare, right? it surely put a smile on my face;-)
