Wazzup, Wazzup Edgar Labor

I first met Bing at…

UP Mathematics Club through a common friend Babette Peneyra at UP Diliman.

I remember Bing

sitting next to me during ES xx exams. One time, nasa Edinburgh kami, at nagpapalit ng dollars to pounds. Doble ibinigay sa amin ng cashier. E walang magagawa, pareho kaming matalino sa math, less than a second, nagkatinginan kami, nag-usap ang mga mata, sabay takbo. LOL.

I’m now based in…
Los Angeles, CA

I’m busy with…
teaching high school math in one of the inner-city schools in Los Angeles.

I can cook…
I can cook (period)!
My closet is full of…
clothes with all the tags still attached to them.

My most fave me-place is...
 the shopping mall!

My obsession is…
to be super rich and to own the biggest mansion in the world, and drive the most expensive car(s), and go places! For real!

Life is…
not easy to describe. It is easier to describe what life is not. Life is not waking up early, rushing through the heavy traffic to get to work; confining oneself inside a building for at least 8 hours a day; working 8 days a week, 25 hours a day; working hard to live; and making your boss happy; blah, blah, blah...Life is not kissing somebody's ass!

I don't mind having more…
money without working hard for it...winning the lotto perhaps!

Now, Edgar is…
still the same Egay I knew from before. In fact, I didn't change Lahbor to Leybor. I may be working in America, but I refused and continue to refuse to acquire the American accent. I will still greet you in Tagalog if you are Filipino I meet on the street. I still convert my dollars to peso and say "nope, masyadong mahal," I still use and consume Filipino products. In fact, I try to Filipinize people around me rather than me being americanized. I have been successful with Skyflakes! haha. Favorite ng mga students ko. They also like white rabbit and Nagaraya! My favorite is still clover chips over cheetos.; V-cut over Lays; choc-nut over Reese's. If you met me 20 years ago, and you meet me again, you will definitely say "ganoon ka pa rin!" - even the way I look ;)

Dear Bing aka Francesca/pudenda,

Puede bang skip nalang ito, I really don't know what to say to you kasi eveything we've been through is unparalleled and indescribable. Maybe one thing I can say that I haven't said in years is to thank you kasi kundi dahil sa iyo, I was not able to tour the world with UPCC and be exposed to the world. So pati na rin ang pagpunta at paninirahan sa America would have not materialized if you didn't ask me to take you to UPCC to audition. So to my sosyal at may taste na friend like me, salamat mula sa kailalimlaliman ng aking puso. Hope to see you in the near future.

Lots of overflowing love, Egay
