Man in the Moon

Many believe that the moon landing was a hoax. Yup, they doubt that the Americans have landed on the moon in July, 1969.
They don’t believe that they stuck an American flag on its surface and it waved like a proud American. For how could it have fluttered if there had been no air, therefore, no wind on the moon?

They don’t believe that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon’s surface and left some clear footprints. For how could that have happened when these can only have been made on a moist surface to hold its shape?

They don't believe the astronauts took thousands of pictures on the moon, each one perfectly composed and sharply focused. For how could the photographs be clear if there were no multiple, powerful spotlights around, and with only the sun as its main light source?

They don’t believe that they went to the moon with a high-powered rocket ship and went back to the earth with a small space capsule only. For how could they have launched themselves 240,000 miles back to earth?

But do you know what I believe really happened on July 19, 1969? I believe in Neil Montecillo, my brother-in-law, who was born on that day, who is a loving (sometimes too ant-sugary sweet!) husband and a supportive father. I believe in the miracle that he was born to meet and marry my sister Ben and live a happy life with her. For how could I not believe?

Happy birthday, Neil!!!
